The Professional Standards for School Counseling and the school counselor job description were presented to the State Board of Education in November for discussion. The recommendation was that the Standards for the evaluation of school counselors be approved and that the job description be used as a professional standards support document. The State Board of Education approved the recommendations on Thursday, December 4. The Standards will be used to create the new evaluation tool. This is milestone for your profession. It could not have been accomplished without your hard work and dedication. You have my utmost respect and admiration
Second Harvest North Carolina benefits from Fall Conference:

Silent Auction a Success!!!
This year’s Silent Auction at the Fall Conference succeeded in raising Scholarship Money. This money will add to the NCSCA Scholarship fund. The Executive Board expresses its appreciation to all those who participated so generously. A big THANKS also goes to our many contributors who provided the many wonderful items for auction.
