  • *Unlocking the Digital Dilemma with Andy A. Komasinski (In today’s digital landscape, students face increasing risks related to self-generated explicit content, sexting, and online exploitation—challenges that school counselors and psychologists are often unprepared to navigate. This presentation, designed specifically for school counselors, will provide a comprehensive, trauma-informed approach to addressing these issues.)
  • Dancing with Data with Dr. Kisha Bryant, NCDPI
  • **Catching Them Upstream: Understanding, Preventing & Addressing Student Substance Use with Kriya Lendzion (Youth substance use trends are becoming increasingly addictive and dangerous, wreaking havoc on students’ cognitive, physical, and mental health, as well as their engagement in school and future potential. School Counselors can play an impactful role in intervening early in student use through individual, group, and classroom settings but we need artful skills to overpower the pro-use influences and misinformation students are swimming in. We also can't do it alone. We will explore effective Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions, and discuss how to build strong partnerships with administrators, staff, and parents to create a comprehensive, system-wide approach for lasting impact.)
  • Practice What You Teach- Self-Care, Mindfulness, and Grace with Buffy Weathington
